Casa Fubino (6 persons), 300 m2, is an old farm house fully restored with original beams and terracotta floors, maintaining its original atmosphere but with the comfort expected. Spacious, it offers 2 en-suite double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom, 2 additional bathrooms, a large sitting room and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a fireplace in the kitchen/dining area and another in the sitting room. There is also an original bread/pizza oven. Furnishings are of a high standard comprising antique pieces of Italian and Oriental origins.

The location is an excellent base from which to explore the wonderful Tuscan and Umbrian hill towns. The town of Panicale is 25 minutes away. This is a well preserved medieval town with fine restaurants, and with two cafés in the lovely fountain-graced piazza. There is an 18th century Teatro Caporali and several old churches, two of which house famous paintings by Perugino and Massolino di Panicale. Further to the north about 20 minutes by car, is Castiglion del Lago; a lovely town on a narrow peninsula on Lake Trasimeno.  A drive around the lake will take you to Tuoro and Passignano. Both towns (as well as others) have ferry services to the three islands on the lake. To the northwest about 1 hour away, is Siena. Other nearby Tuscan hill towns are: Chiusi - with its Etruscan museum and tombs, Castiglion Fiorentino and Arezzo which also boast Etruscan archeological sites, Montepulciano - home of the famous Vino Nobile, and  San Casciano dei Bagni with its wonderful day spa and mineral baths. On the Umbrian side is Perugia (20 minutes) as well as Todi and Orvieto (about 40 minutes). Nearby are Citta’ della Pieve - the birthplace of Renaissance artist Perugino;  Assisi, Spoleto,  Deruta (ceramic center of Umbria) and Gubbio. The antique markets of Arezzo and Perugia are also interesting to explore.

Another feature of Casa Fubino’s location is its central position in Italy, being 145 km from Florence, and 172 km from Rome. A day trip to either city becomes easy via an hour’s travel on Intercity train from Chiusi or Terontola; each 25 minutes by car from Casa Fubino.

Two golf clubs are within easy reach by car. Within the immediate vicinity of Casa Fubino, biking, walking/hiking can be enjoyed for contributing to the perfect holiday in a relaxed atmosphere and safe environment. For artists and writers especially, the location provides the ideal environment of natural beauty away from the stresses and strains of everyday life, contributing to inventiveness and creativity.

The outside space is some 2000 m2, all fenced, with fruit trees, pines and olives.  A swimming pool of 5x10m with shower is in a secluded area, with a wide view of terraced olive groves, valleys and mountains. Children have a lot of space to play.

30% of total rent due upon booking (by bank transfer)
70% balance of rental plus E 300 security deposit 60 days  in advance of arrival, (also by bank transfer) .  If booking is made less than 60 days in advance of arrival, full payment plus security deposit is due upon booking.  Security deposit is reimbursed within 10 days of departure less any damage.
